MEET SCOUT / POWERED BY 3.1 TERRA

A little clarity.
A lot of possibility.

Your goals. Your pace. Tell Scout what you want to explore, what you already know and how much time you have. Get a practical starting point, a reason it fits and a clear next step.

Your questions. Your device.

Use the instant guide or switch to on-device AI for more advanced help. Your conversation isn’t sent to ARforEarth or an AI service. Scout uses the same model as 3.1 Terra—no separate download if it is already saved in this browser.

Scout tailors guidance to what you share in this chat. It does not read your account or shortlist, browse live vacancies, submit applications or guarantee eligibility. Account saving in your workspace is separate.

NEXT IN THE LAB

More ways
to find your thing.

Three ideas we’re developing around real student needs. All are coming soon; launch dates have not been announced.

Coming soon

Career Sims

A first look at your future work.

Explore a career by trying the decisions, questions and deliverables behind it. Planned simulations bring sustainability work into a student-friendly practice environment.

Explore the idea

The planned experience: choose a scenario, review a brief, work through tasks and reflect on your decisions. We aim to connect it to your existing workspace. Assessments and any completion certificates will be defined before launch.

  • Sustainability consultant · turn a messy brief into a clear recommendation.
  • ESG analyst · examine disclosures, spot missing evidence and explain limitations.
  • Energy auditor · work through an illustrative building scenario and compare next steps.

Practice simulations, not employment or professional qualifications. Scenarios, assessments and certificates are not available yet.

Coming soon

Skill Swap

Your skill could be someone’s next step.

A planned way to exchange skills within the ARforEarth community. Bring something you know, find something you want to learn and agree a small, useful exchange.

Explore the idea

The planned experience: share the skill you can offer, choose what you want to learn, agree an exchange and reflect on what you practised. Matching, community guidelines and reporting tools will be in place before exchanges open.

  • Explain spreadsheets in exchange for feedback on a presentation.
  • Help with visual design while learning how to structure a research brief.
  • Practise public speaking with a peer who wants help organising sources.

Matching and exchanges are not available yet. A future record of participation is being explored; swaps do not currently earn certificates or course credit.

Coming soon

Campus Pulse

A campus with more connection. Less waste.

A planned local discovery space for useful campus activity: food-sharing notices, reuse drives, recycling information and sustainability events.

Explore the idea

The planned experience: choose a participating campus, explore time-sensitive notices and check the organiser’s details. Campus participation, posting permissions and notice verification will be established before launch.

  • Discover an approved surplus-food notice while it is still relevant.
  • Find a campus reuse collection or electronics recycling event.
  • Join a nearby sustainability event and understand who is organising it.

No campus feed or real-time food alerts are available yet. Example activities illustrate the concept; no campus partnership is implied.

PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER

Your next step
can make a difference.

The Lab connects to ARforEarth’s existing learning and action community. One organisation. More ways to contribute.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things
to know.

What can I use today?

Opportunity Hub is available now: browse, search, filter, save a local shortlist and follow provider links. Scout can explain the Lab and ARforEarth. Career Sims, Skill Swap and Campus Pulse are coming soon.

Do I need a new account?

No account is required to browse Student Lab. Use your existing ARforEarth account for courses, research and volunteer applications in the workspace. Your Opportunity Hub shortlist stays in this browser and does not sync to your account.

Is everything free?

Student Lab and Scout are free to use. External providers set their own costs and terms, shown where known in the Hub. Some external courses charge for certificates. Volunteer roles may be unpaid; read the listing before committing.

Does saving mean I have applied?

No. A saved item is a bookmark, not an application or enrolment. Follow the provider’s steps and confirm your submission on its own platform.

Can I suggest an opportunity?

Send an official source link and a short explanation to hello@arforearth.org. Suggestions are reviewed before inclusion. A directory link does not imply a partnership or endorsement.
