PARU

PENN STATE
ACTION RESILIENCE UNITY

The Penn State Action Resilience Unity (PARU) is a newly proposed student-led club at Penn State Harrisburg, established as a regional enterprise of Arforearth. Arforearth is a globally recognized NGO dedicated to combating climate change, promoting sustainability, and empowering communities through education and action. With a vision to inspire global change, Arforearth has led initiatives such as tree-planting drives, campus cleanups, and educational workshops on renewable energy, while also organizing international Model United Nations (MUN) conferences to foster diplomacy and address global challenges.

PARU extends this mission to Penn State Harrisburg, where students will collaborate to organize impactful sustainability events—including campus cleanups, recycling campaigns, and renewable energy workshops—and student-led MUN conferences focused on topics like climate policy and sustainable development. The club embodies a commitment to action, resilience in the face of environmental challenges, and unity among members to drive change. Note: Club approval is still pending and will be confirmed once all ten permanent members sign up and the application process is completed with Penn State Harrisburg’s Office of Student Engagement.
